我最喜欢读的一本课外书就是《西游记》了，它的作者是明代著名作家吴承恩。

My favorite extracurricular book is Journey to the West, written by Wu Chengen, a famous writer in the Ming Dynasty.

它讲述的是唐僧师徒四人从东土大唐出发去西天取经，一路上经历了九九八十一难，千辛万苦来到西天，终于取得了真经的故事。四个人物当中我最喜欢孙悟空了，因为它有一对火眼金睛，能够辨别妖魔鬼怪，而且还会七十二般变化，聪明伶俐，对师傅忠心耿耿。我最不喜欢唐僧，因为他胆小，而且轻易相信别人。

It tells the story of four Tang Monks and disciples who set out from the Eastern Tang Dynasty to the Western Heaven to learn scriptures. They went through ninety-nine eighty-one difficulties on their way to the Western Heaven and finally obtained the true scriptures. Among the four characters, I like Monkey King best, because he has a pair of hot eyes, can distinguish monsters and ghosts, and can change like seventy-two. He is smart and loyal to his master. I don't like Tang Monk, because he is timid and easily trusts others.

After reading Journey to the West, I was deeply impressed by the characters in the book. Sun Wukong was very clever and loyal (especially to Tang Monk); Tang Monk is very kind; Pig Bajie is very lazy. Once, Tang Monk asked Bajie to cook some food, but Bajie went to sleep and came back to make up a lie. Monk Sha is very loyal and honest.
