我们是餐厅里唯一带着小孩吃饭的家庭。我让埃里克坐在一张高椅上。我注意到餐厅里的每一个人都安静地吃着，偶尔交谈，也是发出很轻的声音。

We are the only family with children in the restaurant. I asked Eric to sit in a high chair. I noticed that everyone in the restaurant ate quietly, talked occasionally and made a very low voice.

突然，埃里克大声地尖叫起来：“看，那边！”他那胖乎乎的小手激动地拍打着椅子的扶手，眼睛瞪得大大的。

我从抽屉里拿出一只干干净净的袜子，又取出小舅妈送我的高级香水，再仔仔细细地喷到袜子上。当然喽，这高级香水平时我妈可舍不得用，这次喷点香水是为了吸引圣诞老人到我家滴！弟弟瞧见了，也跟着我喷起香水来。不过，我怕弟弟也喷了我的高级香水，把圣诞老人送给我的礼物抢走了。便想方设法地哄骗弟弟，让他喷了普通香水。妈妈听了这个消息后，脱下袜子，连香水也没喷，就与我和弟弟的袜子一起挂在了窗外。

第二天早上起来，我、妈妈和弟弟朝着阳台拜了几拜，祈求礼物能出现在我们的袜子里。可我倒不怎么相信——世界上哪有什么圣诞老人呀！即便有，他也没有时间给我们中国小朋友送礼物！可是，想起我的朋友去年收到圣诞礼物的事，我便对此事又燃起了一丝希望。
